Another hot and humid day in Southern Missouri. Had pretty good miles after getting a late start.The desk clerk at the very rustic Riverside Motel could not believe that i was reserving a room for THAT night when i was still 50 miles away and it was already 12 noon ans 100 degrees out. She was very relieved to see me arrive safely. The heat is far more of an issue than even the mountains. I must definitely consider stepping back my mileage a little bit. I don't want to end up with heat exhaustion. Things are suppose to cool off a little bit by midweek.
