is this for water or oil ? |
Got a very early start today in route to the Marion United Methodist Church where they host cyclist only lodging. A large room with a bunch of sofa's serves all weary cyclists. Wifi and A.C. included. This is my final day in Ky. Tomorrow i will be crossing the Ohio River into Illinois. I am only traversing the most southern part of the state to the distance of only 134 miles. Missouri is next. First day i woke up to rain. Knowing i had a long day i forged ahead in it. Luckily by noon the rain had slowed ,by 2 it was done. Only one pic today. Not much that we have not seen before (corn fields, cattle, horses, repeat) and lets not forget the unleased dogs that i am forced to outrun or get eaten.
watch out for those wild dogs and remember I told you to bring back up

Vinny,
ReplyDeleteYou are kicking ass !!!
What are going to do with the extra weeks when you reach the left coast ?
Where is that pepper spray for the crazy dogs ?
Your commitment and persistence is inspiring.
Brother Tom
When i hear the bark of a dog i have only a second to react. Speed up and outrun or slow down and get the pepper spray ready. Depending on the road i have had best luck outrunning fido. To get the spray ready, point and shoot, while riding and avoiding this dog is hairy to say the least. As far as arriving early to the west coast, i'll cross that bridge as the next couple of weeks go by. I still have 3 major mountain ranges to cross.
ReplyDeleteI see the challage with the dogs. Hope you continue to have great weather and health to halp carry you over the mountains.
